Knowvation IX™ is an add-on module to PTFS's award winning Knowvation™ Enterprise Content Management application. The IX module provides integrated access and retrieval of documents across the various Deltek Costpoint applications (e.g., invoicing, purchase orders, human resources). The development of Knowvation IX™ is a result of PTFS's extensive experience integrating Knowvation™ with third-party applications such as Google Earth, Encyclopedia Britannica, SharePoint, and many others.
PTFS's Knowvation™ system gives users powerful search and retrieval capabilities through an easy-to-use Web interface. In response to requests from our customers, PTFS developed the IX module to integrate Knowvation™ with Deltek's Costpoint application products. Examples of IX's functionality include:
- Opening the vendor master file or the appropriate purchase order files in Costpoint to view all of a vendor's vouchers.
- Clicking on the vendor ID in Costpoint to initiate a search in Knowvation™ and return a list of all documents for that vendor.
- Clicking on the voucher file in Knowvation™ to display the voucher.
The linking between files is accomplished by establishing unique identifiers (such as vendor ID) that reside on both the document and the system. If needed, PTFS engineers will design a workflow application for entering documents, and a customized user interface for accessing these documents.
