ArchivalWare GS™ is integrated with leading web-map technologies like Google Earth and Esri, which provide a graphical method that can specify the location you are looking for. With the help of the Google Earth interface, the system depicts and shows the geographic location of any type of digital object at the same time the user executes the searching operations. For example; a user can display the satellite view of a building, while retrieving construction drawings of that building at the same time. ArchivalWare GS™’s user-friendly display enables timely research and analysis results by allowing users to combine search criteria across a diverse set of media such as; video clips, still images, full text documents, etc.
How ArchivalWare GS™ Works
ArchivalWare GS™ is a thin client/server based solution that can be accessed through any web browser. ArchivalWare GS™ is simple to install and easy to configure, making set up very straightforward in existing complex IT environments. Stand alone solutions can be deployed on work stations or laptops.
ArchivalWare GS™ has GUI’s to make loading data into the system quick and easy. To use ArchivalWare GS™ simply direct it at local data, data on the web, or data on servers. ArchivalWare GS™ then builds a catalog of resources irrespective of where data is stored which requires no system down time. The data can then be searched with any of the following search methods: Pattern (fuzzy logic), Concept (natural language), or Boolean combined with the use of geospatial coordinates or bounding box. These methods can be used on full-text of digital documents, key metadata fields, or a combination of both.
