Atlanta, GA - January 20-24, 2017 - PTFS’ CEO and its Director of Library services attended and exhibited at ALA MidWinter, the oldest and largest library association conference, this past weekend in Atlanta, GA. PTFS has exhibited at ALA for over 10 straight years and has been a huge supporter of ALA programs and initiatives. To remain an Industry Leader in Library Information Systems and Services this show was a must attend! The value in attending was truly a great way to learn about the latest technologies and innovations occurring in all libraries, including academic, public and special. In an era of information, PTFS strives to remain the most important information management asset to our clients. ALA created a gateway for us to expand our knowledge and share with others our experiences and successes with Library Information Systems.
At our exhibit, PTFS provided a sneak preview of the new Discovery Layer Service, which will be formally launched later this Spring. Many librarians stopped by our booth to take a look at our products/services, participate in our new product naming contest and see live demonstrations of our integration of Bibliovation™ and Amazon’s Echo, a solution that allows users to search for books, place holds and more using voice commands. In addition, our CEO participated on the panel of RMG’s 2017 ALA MidWinter Presidents Seminar: The View From the Top. The panel discussion was held Friday afternoon prior to the formal opening of the Exhibits Hall.
